| Our focus is to offer you professional care for all of your medical needs. HIV Testing This program is available throughout our different centers. Please click on the center closest to you to see the support group meeting schedule for that location or call us for more information. Finger Stick Test MIAMI NEW HOPE staff speaks with you one-on-one about high risk behaviors, HIV, and the benefits of knowing your HIV status. - After the staff member answers all of your questions you will be asked to sign the consent form saying you understand the testing process. - All tests are anonymous and confidential - The staff member pricks your finger. - A small amount of blood is collected. - The results are available in 10 minutes. If you test positive for HIV you will be linked to care. If you test negative, the staff will help you identify ways to reduce your risk so that you stay negative. Oral Quick Test - After talking with you about HIV, high risk behaviors, and the benefits of knowing your HIV status the staff member will ask you to sign a consent form. Then they will prepare the oral test. - The inside of your cheek is swabbed to collect a small amount cells. - Another section of your cheek is swabbed. - And finally another part of the inside of your cheek is swabbed. - The results are available in 20 minutes. As with other HIV tests, the staff member will give you appropriate information about necessary care and treatment and help identify ways to reduce your risk. STD's Do you have Gonorreah? Syphilis?
